At Ratatouille Kochatelier, we have always believed that a kitchen is more than a place to cook—it is a space for stories to be told and cultures to meet. Usually, we tell these stories through flavors, spices, and the rhythmic sound of handmade noodles.
But for one special evening, we are swapping the rolling pins for pens and the flour for ink. We are thrilled to invite you to a unique Kunstabend (Art Night) featuring the incredibly talented Berlin illustrator, Theresa Grieben.
From Berlin to the World: The Art of the Sketchbook
Theresa Grieben is not just an illustrator; she is a visual storyteller. Based in Neukölln, where she runs her gallery graumalerei, Theresa has spent years capturing the world in her signature black-and-white linear style.
Since completing her Master’s degree in 2014, she has worked for prestigious international clients like the BBC World Histories Magazine and the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin. But her truest passion lies in the pages of her sketchbooks. Whether she is in her studio or trekking through the landscapes of New Zealand, Hungary, or Portugal, she always carries a pen. Her work is a tribute to the “small details”—the ones we often miss, but that define the soul of a place.
Destination: Portugal 🇵🇹
During this special evening at the Kochatelier, Theresa will take us on a journey to one of her favorite destinations: Portugal.
Through her hand-drawn maps, panoramic sketches, and personal anecdotes, she will transport us to the winding streets of Lisbon and the rugged Atlantic coast. It’s a celebration of travel, curiosity, and the beauty of seeing the world through an artist’s eyes.

This isn’t just an exhibition; it’s an immersive experience in the warm atmosphere of our workshop.
